Bradshaws was a family run electrial sales and repair business. In 2007 the city shop changed hands and Bradshaws moved to Unit 37, Britannia Way, Britannia Enterprise Park.

Since the move the business has had a change of direction and name to Bradshaws Discount Lighting Ltd.

The shop in Bird Street is a brick fronting timber-frame building and is Grade II Listed .
