Gresley Row was originally for access to the rear of the shops that ran along the one side of the Precinct and to the rear of the Post Office. Both car parks were retained in the redevelopment.
The Tesco store was not completely demolished but split up to form several new retail units. If you compare the photos you can see the water tower and windows remain from the original 1960’s building.
From the Precinct you could get to Gresley Row through the small covered area between Tesco and A & H Worsey Newsagents and tobacconist. Walking along to end would take you to the junction of Green Hill and George Lane.
